Sachar Legacy Society

The Sachar Legacy Society is an honorary organization that recognizes individuals who have indicated that Brandeis University is in their wills, established charitable gift annuities, created charitable remainder trusts, or set up pooled income funds or other planned gifts. These donors to Brandeis realize the merit and strength of gifts that will provide for the future of this young institution of higher learning.

To become eligible for Sachar Legacy Society membership, an individual simply informs the University in writing that Brandeis has been included in his or her estate plans. The University also requires documentation of the planned gift, for example, a copy of the pertinent provisions of the individual's will or trust, a copy of the life insurance policy that names the University as a beneficiary, or a letter from the individual's attorney stating that he or she has, indeed, included Brandeis in his or her estate plans. Upon receipt of such documentation, participants are enrolled in the Sachar Legacy Society.

If you would like more information about becoming a member of the Sachar Legacy Society, please contact the planned giving office at 781-736-4069.
