Parents program: Fund

The Brandeis University Parents Fund is an important component of the Brandeis Annual Fund and Leadership Gift programs. National Cochairs Rachel Winpar and Robert Gecht, P '08, P'11, lead the Parents Program and its Parents Advisory Council, whose primary goals are to maintain the connection between Brandeis Parents and the University community, and to support programs that enhance the total educational experience of students at Brandeis each year.

All parents of current undergraduates are automatically members of the Parents Program and, as such, will receive an annual appeal request and be encouraged to join the Parents Leadership Society. All Parents who make a minimum annual gift of $1,000 or more to the University will be considered members of the Parents Leadership Society. Membership in the Leadership Society is a rewarding way to share in your child's Brandeis experience and to make a lasting connection with the institution that will forever remain a part of your child's life.

Why should I support the Parents Fund?

In order to maintain high standards, Brandeis, like other private universities, looks to parents, grandparents, alumni, and friends for support. We realize that tuition and fees are a large investment; however the actual cost of a Brandeis education is substantially higher than the tuition charged. This level of excellence in education is expensive! And, since Brandeis is barely 50 years old, it has a modest endowment. The Ivy League schools, to which Brandeis is frequently compared, have existed for centuries and have many generations of donors.

Funds raised for the Parents Program are vital to the University's ability to attract and retain faculty of the highest caliber, sustain its enviable student/faculty ratio (which makes exceptional access to faculty a hallmark of a Brandeis education), and support academic programs as well as student activities. When you receive a request in the mail, please support the Parents Program to the best of your ability.
